We found an article dated 1910 that shows that the train depot in Tuckahoe burned to the ground and the agent inside passed away as a result of the fire. I’m still digging
In 1913 , a train derailed passing Tuckahoe Station, as the tracks appeared to have separated. No serious injury but the damage to the train was heavy.
More Photos from Lee, show the Tuckahoe Passenger Depot and the Freight Depot behind that. Lee was also good enough to forward an article from the early 1950’s that shows the small depot being moved to a farm near Ridgely Maryland. I have yet to find any articles regarding this but I am looking. I’m also beginning to wonder if that depot still survives.
