1111 North Cathedral Street
The first reference I have found so far for Weil & Scott was a 1935 mention, in an ad. By 1936, Hupmobile was calling Weil & Scott a Hupmobile authorized dealer, with the dealer getting mentions in ads with Plymouth and Dodge’s showing up by the late 1930’s and throughout the 1940’s, 1950’s, and 1960’s. One of the dealership’s slogans was ” Baltimore’s only downtown Dodge Dealership”. Weil & Scott were opened until 1968. when I believe the Civil Unrest marked the end of the dealership.
In 1969, Central Dodge was opened, with the old Weil & Scott Building being rebuilt at 1111 Cathedral Street. Central Dodge survived about three years with Car City Dodge buying up the inventory in 1973.
