Walbrook Train Station – West Baltimore, Maryland WMRR

Western Maryland Railroad
Baltimore City

I believe the old station was in the vicinity of the current day Coppin State University Campus near North Avenue and where the Western Maryland Railroad tracks cross over. I’m still looking to confirm this.

In 1906 , the train stopped at Walbrook Station, for the Blue Mountain Express. The Express started out at Hillen Station downtown.

In 1914, a passenger train and freight train collided near the Walbrook Railroad Depot. Both the Engineer and Fireman were pinned in the wreck, but apparently only the fireman was injured.

In 1940, the station had a ” Honor Roll” placed outside for soldiers of the “World War”.
