In 1898 – A man was charged with burning the Washington Grove Train station. The extent of the damage is not known, but we’ll keep looking. We did find a likely related story of a ” group of Marauders” as the articles described them, attempting to burn the Washington Grove Train Station, and a nearby store. The articles makes account of several incidents that were similar having occurred in the area over the past few weeks.
In 1902 – An arrest was made of a subject who was trying the combination of the cash drawer at the station.
In 1906 – thieves broke into the station of Washington Grove and nearby Derwood Station, Just over $20. was stolen from the station. Nearby Derwood lost 25 cents.
In 1917 – A real estate ad listed for property near the Station. It was going for $150 . an acre.
