Singerly Train Station – Cecil County, Maryland

Baltimore & Ohio Railroad
Designed by Frank Furness
Built 1886 – Razed

Along the Baltimore & Ohio Route in Cecil County. We found a reference to the old station in Cecil County from 1892, for the ABC Pathfinder Shipping and Mailing Guide. A later reference was found in the 1904 Maryland Geological Survey for Maryland. Papers were talking about the new Singerly Depot in 1886, as the new station opened.
The station again made the paper in 1901 as a woman boarded the train to marry a man in Arkansas she had met through letters she had written to him.
