Salisbury Maryland has the Union Train depot, which is still standing.
In 1906, several burglars broke into the safe inside the Salisbury train depot.
The blast of the explosion was so loud, nearby residents heard the noise, and came out of their homes to see four men running from the scene, carrying a fifth man who was injured in the blast.
I have heard that as of 2025, there is a plan to bring back the old station to some type of commercial use. I’ll keep checking to update the page. ( Update -September 2025 – there is now a fence around the old station. Not sure how far the work has progressed……)
