Pennsylvania Railroad
From what we can tell, this station is no longer standing.
Train Station – Post Deposit Maryland
The older station being destroyed by a ” Ice Gorge” from the Susquehanna River. This is the only station I have found in the State of Maryland destroyed by ice.
We’ve seen a few websites that stated this was the old Post Deposit Train Station. Not true, this is the old carriage house for the Tome School.
The Tome School had a small station as well, posted below. The old Tome Station also appears to no longer be standing, and I have found very little information on it.
Working on the year – but a conductor of a train traveling through Post Deposit died suddenly as he stepped on the train in Port Deposit.
There has been mention as well of a Tome Station for the school that was in town. I found a old postcard for it that wasn’t very clear, but I later found the postcard below which shows Post Deposit right in the area where the Tome School had been which clearly shows a small shelter along the tracks.
