Parkton Train Station

This station was found along the Northern Central Railroad in Northern Baltimore County.
1934 – a train accident at Parkton killed a young lady. Apparently she was the only passenger on the train besides the crew. The bodies of the two crew members were found soon after.
1935 – PRR had plans to cancel passenger service to Parkton and Cockeysville.
In 1942 – The tracks around Parkton Station were washed out due to heavy rains.
In 1943 – there was an issue with night trains from Parkton no longer stopping at Baltimore’s Calvert Street Station.
In 1944 a student of a Baltimore County School was killed at Parkton Station – after students were walking along the railroad tracks there.
In 1958 – Parkton was listed as the only station in Baltimore County that had train service to Baltimore.
In 1959 – Train service was being stopped between Baltimore & Parkton.
