Orange Grove Train Station, Maryland

I know very little about this station, but should have more information soon. I do know it’s no longer standing. It was in the general area of Ellicott City and Avalon Station, near the Baltimore County / Howard County line.

In 1876 , the body of a B&O Brakeman was found near the tracks in the vicinity of Orange Grove Station, after he apparently fell off the train. He wasn’t discovered missing off of the train, until the train reached Baltimore City.
In the 1880’s, I found an ad from the ” Children’s Country House ” of a reward for information leading towards trespassers in the area.
1883 , ” Mount Zephyr ” was open for boarders in the area, which was near the Station.
The Maryland Industrial School for Girls, near the Orange Grove Station was looking for ” More Inmates” back in the 1890’s.
In 1890, Wilkens Avenue ” Extended ” was being planned and the terminus was decided to be the Orange Grove Train Station.
In 1907, there was an article in the paper that spoke of Little Boys and Girls enjoying a vacation near the station in ” pastures new”.
A few years after that, the station and other buildings nearby burned down.
