In 1942, several cows were “lost” in a train wreck at Mt Winan’s Station. I’m not sure if the cows were residents of the area or passengers on the train. Still Looking. They even have the names of several cows killed in the wreck as “Bossy, Betty, Billy, Beauty, and Jerk.” I am not making this up, and the article was in the Baltimore Sun and mentions that the cows were being transported on the train that wrecked.
