Mount Hope Train Station
Western Maryland Railroad
Baltimore County – present day Baltimore City.
In the 1880’s , Mount Hope was known as ” Mount Hope for the Insane “
It was also called the “Mount Hope” retreat.
In 1906 , a social mention was made in a newspaper of a meeting at Mount Hope Station.
If you look to the right of this photo, you can see the train station in the background. I believe this station was in the general area of today’s Northern Parkway and Wabash Avenue. The entire area has been rebuilt and nothing of the old station exists today.
