Between Trappe Station & Easton Maryland
Philadelphia, Baltimore & Washington Railroad
Delaware & Chesapeake Railroad
So far, I have found very little on the Llandaff train depot. The Town is on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, and was along the train line from Easton Maryland to Trappe Station. Found a schedule which shows the train in 1903, and the section of Llandaff is commonly known as Llandaff Station. I’m not sure how big the station might have been, my guess is not very big. The station was 5 minutes out of Trappe and 11 minutes outside of Easton.
Maps Show the railroad tracks lasting until around 1973, but the tracks disappear soon after that. The Tracks cross directly over Llandaff Road, midway from Stumptown to the East and the intersection of Oxford Road to the West. It appears that some type of building was along Llandaff Road at the railroad crossing, but that disappeared by 1976.
In 1936, I found a real estate ad for an Estate Sale in the area, calling it “Llandaff Station”.
