Timonium Station NCRR Baltimore County, Maryland

Northern Central Railroad Baltimore County, Maryland
10.7 Miles North of Baltimore City
Between Lutherville Station to the South & Padonia Station to the North

I’ve seen a bit of information on the old Timonium Station, but not as much as I though I would. The Maryland State Fair would been a part of the stop, but I have yet to find that article that mention both together. I found an article of a “mule car said car” made the trip from Baltimore to the race track in Timonium way back in 1830 , but the article mentions the introduction of the train tracks to the area, but there is no mention of the Timonium Station.

In 1886 , The Northern Central Railroad ran an excursion train to the 8th Annual Maryland State Fair.
In 1888, Train from Baltimore left Calvert Street Station to the State Fair, which was held from September 4 to 7.

Several 1891 real estate ads make mention of the Timonium Station while selling property in the area.

In 1895 , a ad mentions an The Maryland State Fair, only 9 Miles from Baltimore on the Northern Central Railroad.
The ad even mentions reduced rates, but the station got no mention. Round trip fare, including admission to the Grounds , was 50 cents.

In 1896, Real Estate developers from all over the area took a train from Baltimore to Timonium to see how they could market the area.

September 17, 1898, The Northern Central Railroad posted an ad for the State Fair had trains arriving every hour from Baltimore, from Union Station in Baltimore. The fare listed was 75 cents this year, including admission.
