Kilduffs History of the dealership that started at 3421 Greenmount Avenue.

I found early ads for Talbott dating all the way back to 1924 . The company went by the name ” Talbott Motor Company” and began with ads for used vehicles in the early days. An ad from 1929 listed several several cars including a Buick “6” for $ 79. I’m sure it wasn’t much but the thought of getting car for under $100. these days is odd.
By 1931, the ads showed Talbott was selling mainly Fords, although they still went by the name “Talbott Motor Company”. In 1936, Talbott showed two addresses , one being the one on Greenmount Avenue and a second at 6400 Harford Rd. Ads in the 1940’s for Talbott looking for mechanics mention Talbott as ” Baltimore’s oldest Ford Dealership”.

Kilduffs.Net is not affilated with Talbott Ford / Bob Davidson Ford in any way, nor is this an endorsement of the dealership. Kilduffs.Net is just documenting the history of Baltimore City and Maryland the best way we know. Email us at KilduffsTheatreIndex@gmail.com or any complaints or comments.
