2620 Sission Street
Scott Motors was found listed at several Baltimore City Addresses in the 1950’s and 1960’s. The address of 2620 Sisson Street was noted in ads as ” Scot-Land”, and mentioned being “near the 29th Street bridge”. In 1959, a ad shows Scott at 2630 Sission Street under the slogan ” The Scott Budget Way”. Going back a few years earlier, in 1955, Scott stated they were opening in the former Martin Motors Dealership, which we found an ad for listed at address 706 East 25th Street.
In 1956, Scott had an ad in the paper saying it was ” 1960″, which I’m not sure was a typo or a method to the ad to get people thinking. A showroom was promised for Scott at Charles and Oliver Streets, but after that mention I found nothing else for that address for Scott Motors. From the late 1950’s to the 1960’s, I was able to find Scott Motors Ads at 625 East 25th Street, when in 1962, the dealership went under the name of Don Weaver’s Triangle Plymouth in 1962. They had the slogan ” The Quality Corner” and listed the address as 701 East 25th Street. Triangle Plymouth moved out to Timonium in Baltimore County, in 1972.
