Over the years, creative writing was probably high on the last list for selling a home in Baltimore. And a great imagination. Not there is anything wrong with the areas being shown for sale on this page, but the “hype” is a bit much. Just saying………

………Case in point. It took me a while to find out where ” Melvale Heights” was located . I was thinking I was missing some amazing neighborhood in Baltimore, but I knew where the Melvale Train Station once stood ( Cold Spring Lane ) . These ads are from 1910 to 1915 and were posted in the Baltimore Sun.

Not to be outdone, Baltimore County had ads for up and coming areas as well during that time……

More as we find them, but this is a good start …….
