Queen Anne, Maryland
This is one of those stations I thought I would never see, and it was found in a matter of minutes on Google. It’s listed as a shared image on Wiki Commons and is of an early train station found on the upper Eastern Shore of Maryland.
The station is listed between Willoughby Station and Downes Station on the Queen Anne’s Railroad in 1902.
In 1891 , it was mentioned in the paper that the “dwelling” section of the Queen Anne Station was improved greatly for the Winter.
In 1901, an brief mention in the newspaper stated ” Contractor Brown ” had enlarged the Depot in Queen Anne.
Peaches seem to have been a major crop shipped out of Queen Anne Depot for many years.
