There was a Northwest Baltimore Car dealership for years called Penn Brothers, along Reisterstown Road. I’m not sure if this dealership was connected to that Dealer, but research is active on this one. To make researching even more confusing, there was a Penn Motor Company at 3001 South Hanover Street. Hopefully I can figure it out. One clue is around 1970, mentions of “Penn Brothers” became fewer as “Penn Pontiac” showed up.
In 1976, ground was broken along with the presence of Mayor Schaefer for the new dealership which was pointed out would be in West Baltimore. But in the next year , the dealership had the address of North Point and Kane, which is not West Baltimore . I believe the old dealership building is still standing and currently being used by Bob Bell Chevrolet.
