Paul’s Puppets

Paul’s Puppets was the “Puppet Company” of Bernie and Edee Paul, the husband and wife team based out of Linthicum Heights, Maryland. They worked together and were able to produce a variety of stories, most of which were targeted towards children. In 1947, they produced an on air show on WBAL TV.  After that , WMAR TV picked up the show for a short time. For years after that, the couple continued to perform at Baltimore Area Department stores throughout the 1970’s. Above, Edee Paul performs wearing a mask with a puppet for the play Aladdin.

Patricia Paul shows off one of Bernie Paul’s favorite hand puppets , ” The Big Bad Wolf “. When Bernie would pull out this puppet, he would go right into character for the Wolf.
