Eastwick Motors

122 West North Avenue ( 1910’s)

Eastwick Motors was a early Ford Dealership that started along West North Avenue, in what was known then as “North Baltimore City”. I found references to Eastwick all the way back to 1910, mentioning Ford Motor Company and A.M. Eastwick. It was in 1913, that I found the first reference to Eastwick Motors in Baltimore City, in a small ad for the dealership selling a 1913 Ford.
In 1908 , Ford Auto Company is listed in an article as not being able to keep up with demand as Ford was able a month behind in shipping out ordered cars. Ford Auto Company goes back to atleast 1907 when they listed the address as the Academy of Music Building. ( On North Howard Street ).
In 1915, ads would actually list the names and addresses of buyers of vehicles. Eastwick was part of the Baltimore Auto Show back in 1915. By the late 1920’s, Eastwick Motors appears to have gone out of business, with Harter Hull taking over the business affairs.
