4650 Belair Road
I found a grand opening ad for Crest Plymouth from 1962. It was listed as ” Baltimore’s Newest Plymouth Dealer”, and showed the address of 4423 Belair Road. By the mid 1960’s, ads were showing addresses of 4650 Belair Road, which is currently a U Haul Rental facility. In 1967, they continued to use the address of 4650 Belair Road, but also listed 6400 Harford Road as their ” Big Lot”.
Early ads seem to have references to movies that were out at the time, and I’ll post more on this soon. One of the more interesting things about car ads were the creative ways the ads would go for a simple car ad.
In 1969, I could not find any reference for Crest Plymouth , but I did find a reference for Belair Road Chrysler Plymouth at the 4650 Belair Rd. address. I did find reference to Crest Cars in 1969, located at 5529 Belair Road, but by 1970, I did not find any more references.
