3229 Pulaski Highway / 3244 East Fayette Street
4423 Belair Rd ( Used Car Lot )
A 1946 ad for the grand opening of Worden-Young listed the address at 3244 East Fayette Street. In the early 1950’s, the dealer went by the name of Worden-Young for the East Fayette Street address, but I found a reference dating back to 1947 showing the address as 3244 East Fayette Street. Worden – Young was also found listed in smaller ads in 1954. In 1951, the name was used for a dealership at 4423 Belair Rd, which appears to be a used car lot .
I found references for Car City Plymouth from 1956 to 1979. A real Estate ad for a building available was found for the building site in 1981 newspapers. I plan to post more of the Car City Days as I dig them up.
The address is in a group of garages and lots and it’s difficult to see if it is still standing or not.
