In 1892 – Citizens of Brownsville asked the B&O railroad for a passenger depot.
One year later , a hand car used by the B&O Railroad hit a rock while working while at Brownsville Station. As a result, one employee suffered bad injuries and those injuries could prove to be fatal. Investigators believe the rock involved might have been place in the tracks intentionally.
In 1930, a program for giving away grain to people who wished to feed the birds in the area was hosted by several area train depots, including Brownsville.
