Baltimore County – Northern Central RR

I’m not sure if it’s Bluemount (one word), or two words Blue Mount. The good news is, it is still standing and in very nice condition . Along the Northern Central Railroad, North of Monkton, is a small shelter, known as Blue Mount. I always wondered if it was still standing and if so , the condition.

Kilduffs was able to ascertain that the station ( shelter ) is in fact still there, and appears to be in fine condition. The shelter is on private property, and we don’t cross onto such property ( unless invited ) but from where we could see, it appears the Bluemount Shelter is in good shape and is being used.
We have found very little on the small shelter in researching – I did find a real estate ad for 1928 which was was listing some property in “Bluemont” along the NCRR.
