A group of rowhouses in East Baltimore City. You can see the railroad bridge in the background.
These old rowhomes run off of Greenmount Avenue, about a block south of North Avenue.
A few years back, there was a project that cleared out many of the older rowhomes near Johns Hopkins Hospital. Above are just a few of the homes getting ready to be torn down.
There are different types of rowhouses found all over the City. Often, older style homes can be found in one area, and as the neighborhood was developed, you’ll notice different and newer styles of rowhouses. The homes above were 2 story homes known as Alley houses.
