Baltimore Diners – Kilduff’s look at old Diners Found around Town – Most gone now

Kilduffs.net is working on a page for Baltimore Diner’s and will likely add all those Diners from the State of Maryland. The White Tower above used to sit at Howard and Centre Streets.

Baltimore to many is known as the City from the movie ” Diner”. That being said, Kilduffs has looked back and worked to research and list not only what we could find from when that film was made a few short years ago in the 1980’s, but also all the Diners we could find in Baltimore and around the State of Maryland.

Baltimore’s State Diner – Wilkens Avenue
Wilkens Avenue near Font Hill ( near the Southwestern Police Station ) I had heard of the old State Diner, but the building on the site did not resemble a diner at all. A few years back, the building, which was being used as a used car lot, was torn down. I was parked across the street when low ( and behold ) , the demolition revealed what the modern facade had been covering up. The old State Diner was once again revealed, although in a matter of days the entire building I believe was gone.
The Kilduffs.Com page for diners has much more material on old Diners in Baltimore.
