Luby Chevrolet

Early years

Luby Chevrolet opened in Baltimore in the early 1950’s, after buying out Leach & Damesyn , located at 3811 Eastern Avenue.

After a few years on Eastern Avenue, the dealership moved to 3300 East Monument Street.

A very unique and interesting promotion for Luby Chevrolet back in the 1950’s was a deal where the customer would be flown down to Miami Florida and pick up the vehicle they bought and drive it back home.

One of the interesting things about Luby was that they had other Luby dealerships in other States, back in 1955. Luby had dealerships in New York State, Boston and Miami as well, and were not afraid to point that fact out when advertising, in fact they used it as a plus for the company.

Kilduffs.Net is not affilated with Luby Chevrolet in any way, nor is this an endorsement of the dealership. Kilduffs.Net is just documenting the history of Baltimore City and Maryland the best way we know. Email us at KilduffsTheatreIndex@gmail.com or any complaints or comments.
