The Capitol Theatre in Cumberland was listed in the Film Daily from 1931 to 1938 , seating 500. Kilduffs has located 9 movie house names in Cumberland between the years 1900 and 1950. I haven’t located an address yet for the Capitol and it might have been a new name for another theatre, I’m still digging.
In 1931 – The Capitol Theatre announced prices for a ticket would be cut into half. The theatre had just been renovated and would begin to show first run movies as well.
