Kilduffs Red Devils – 1920’s jazz band in Baltimore Maryland

Kilduff’s is working to bring the Red Devils to Kilduff’s.net. The entire Kilduffs Red Devils page can also be found on our Kilduffs.com site, which  you can reach from clicking anywhere in this text field.

The Kilduff’s Red Devils was a jazz band based in Baltimore, Maryland which was formed by my Grandfather, John H. Kilduff, back in the 1920’s to about the 1940’s. The band went by several different names over the years, and the chief promoter of the band was my grandfather, who appeared to have a new business card for every name change. I think he also owned a small printing press to make those cards.

Even the sheet music which they played had his personal touch. I have been digging up all types of programs for the band, and whatever I find I will post it here.

The band went by several names, and played from about the 1920’s to the 1940’s,from what I can tell. Just about any promotional item John Kilduff put together for the band he saved.

1920’s jazz poster

Over the years, I have been able to find lots of neat things about my grandfather. He collected all sorts of things, and one thing I found was a collection of old 1920’s jazz posters. See Link here.
