Port Covington – 1950’s

There’s lots of talk about what Port Covington will look like in the coming years. Under Armor is planning to transform the entire area.

For years, Port Covington was where the Western Maryland Railroad met the Chesapeake Bay.

Today, the area is devoid of any personality of trace of the old Western Maryland Railroad, except for a few tracks that run under I-95.

While there are a few ships docked at the Port Covington Area, it is nothing like the photos above from the 1950’s.
